Last month we relaunched our 'A Write at the Museum' generative writing class for the first time since 2022 as an in-person course in New York City. And we were so grateful for the response it received (selling out in just a few hours!).
This time around, we're thrilled to launch a virtual adaptation of the course as well, available to anyone anywhere with an internet connection. Join us *virtually* for 5 weeks in February 2025 for a world tour of some of the great museums on earth––the Met, the Louvre, Rijksmuseum, the British Museum, Pergamon, and many more. Each week we will meet up online together for virtual walk-throughs of these museums, while generating new original writing based on the art and exhibits we see. We will then read and provide feedback to each of the pieces in a workshop discussion.
- Open to everyone. Any kind of writer (fiction, poetry, non-fiction, etc.) at any point in their career.
- You will leave with at least 5 new pieces of writing, and a series of generative prompts + exercises you can return to.
Cost: $250
Dates: February 16 – March 16 // 2-4 PM EST *
Location: Online (via Zoom)
Instructor: David Byron Queen
You will receive a downloadable 'welcome packet' with our class info when you purchase your spot.
Our instructor will also reach out to everyone via email to check in once the class list has been finalized.
Please email 'hello@wordwest.co' if you have any further questions, or concerns.
We hope you can join us!
