Over the years, "A Write at the Museum" has been our most consistently popular class, and this summer we're thrilled to offer an abridged, single-day version for writers in NYC.

"A Write at the Museum" is a generative writing class where writers of all genres and experience levels can generate new work based on real art and exhibits encountered while walking around New York's world-class museums. Ideal for anyone looking to generate new writing, receive peer feedback, and tour great museums with a group of fellow writers.

Meeting on July 13th, from 1 PM –– 5 PM, class will begin at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and later work its way across Central Park to the American Museum of Natural History.

In addition to the day of museum visits, we will also meet up on Zoom later that same week (Thursday July 17 // 7-9 PM) to read and discuss the work you've created.

Museums:

  • American Museum of Natural History
